No. 7 St. John Fisher fell and No. 6 John Carroll held on on Saturday, as the Cardinals lost to Salisbury in overtime and the Blue Streaks scored 10 second-half points on a cold day to win at Ohio Northern.

Salisbury has won all six meetings between the schools.

Tyler Fenti was 20-for-28 passing for 308 yards and four touchdowns, but the Fisher defense had no answer for John Dunbar and the Sea Gulls offense. Dunbar was 10-for-14 passing for 149 yards and ran for 136 yards and two more scores as Salisbury won 37-34 in overtime. After St. John Fisher had to settle for a field goal in its overtime possession, J.D. Hook ran 16 yards for his second TD of the day to secure the win. The Sea Gulls had scored with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to force OT.

Ohio Northern held a 7-0 lead for most of the first quarter and was up 10-7 for the majority of the second half but the Blue Streaks tied it up with a 43-yard field goal Kresimir Ivkovic with 13:41 to go in the fourth quarter. JCU held on three fourth-down conversion attempts by ONU the rest of the way, allowing Mark Myers to lead a 70-yard drive and find Aramis Greenwood for the go-ahead score with 4:49 left.

Greenwood had nine catches for 138 yards and Tommy Michals went 170 yards on 32 carries, while the JCU defense held Ohio Northern to 10 points after the Polar Bears put up 52 on Heidelberg in Week 4.

Washington and Jefferson beat Thomas More for the second year in a row, 51-28. The Presidents (4-0) scored the final three touchdowns of the game after Thomas More had twice rallied to cut the deficit to three points. Daniel Lis answered the second rally with a 77-yard touchdown catch, one of his three on the day.

Linfield scored the final 24 points to pull away as the No. 5 Wildcats defeated No. 14 Pacific Lutheran 41-14 in the teams' Northwest Conference opener. Linfield picked off Dalton Ritchey three times in the victory. No. 17 UW-Stevens Point scored with 8:03 left in the game to secure a 17-14 win at UW-River Falls, one week after the Pointers knocked off North Central. It was River Falls' home opener, after construction delays forced the Falcons to move their September home games.

No. 12 Bethel kept Concordia-Moorhead quarterback Griffin Neal in check, keeping him to just 183 yards of total offense in a 27-17 win over the No. 23 Cobbers. Photo galleryPlaying without standout receiver Anthony Acevedo, Utica fell to No. 15 Ithaca for its first loss of the season, 27-10. Ithaca blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown as part of a 21-0 run after Utica took an early 3-0 lead.

Top-ranked UW-Whitewater dominated the clock and the scoreboard in defeating UW-La Crosse 38-7. The Eagles had the ball for just 17:49 and compiled just 155 yards of total offense. No. 3 Mount Union rolled to a 75-0 win vs. Capital, with nine ball carriers getting between two and eight carries. Brandon Williams went 107 yards on six carries, scoring three touchdowns in the process.

Fourth-ranked Wesley rolled out to a 42-7 lead on Louisiana College and cruised to a 56-21 win, finishing the Division III portion of its schedule at a perfect 5-0. Joe Callahan threw for 362 yards and five TDs, while Aamir Petrose had a sack and a half, two hurries and three pass breakups for the Wolverines. The Wildcats were held to 28 yards on 28 carries. In its final year as an independent, Wesley finishes with Concordia-Selma, Menlo, Virginia-Lynchburg, College of Faith and D-I FCS Charlotte.

Craig Needhammer ran for two touchdowns and the Lycoming defense held Stevenson to another dismal day passing the ball as the No. 25 Warriors won 31-10, handing Stevenson its first loss. Two Mustangs quarterbacks were 4-for-16 through the air for 85 yards and were picked off twice.

No. 10 Johns Hopkins scored touchdowns on six of its first seven possessions en route to a 56-14 victory over Juniata, improving to 5-0.  St. John's and St. Thomas each followed up their rivalry game with big victories, as the No. 23 Johnnies defeated Hamline 49-28 and No. 24 St. Thomas rolled over St. Olaf 69-7.
