The Profs opened the scoring in the first quarter. After a Southern Virginia punt, McCarty found Forchion on the first play of the drive for a 59-yard touchdown. Kicker Tyler Knighton (fr. Knighton's point after gave the Profs a 14-0 advantage (13:55). A 37-yard pass from Stevenson to Medina set up a one-yard score by Stevenson on the last play of the half. The PAT attempt was blocked by Davis and Sanchez brought it back for a defensive two-point conversion, giving Rowan a 16-6 halftime lead.

With 7:15 remaining in the fourth quarter, Knighton added three points with a 32-yard field goal and the Profs led 19-6. Dungee intercepted quarterback Rex Winslow (so. Ventura, CA/Buena) and returned it 31 yards to the end zone. The extra point attempt failed and Rowan was up 25-6 (3:40).
