Offense

QB Miles Thompson, So., Hendrix

Thompson ran for four touchdowns and threw for two more as Hendrix defeated Birmingham-Southern 42-24. Thompson had 111 yards on 15 carries and was also 17-for-21 passing for 262 yards with one interception.

OL Travis York, Alejandro Briseno, Christopher Bennett, Johnny Garcia, Andy Day, Texas Lutheran

The Texas Lutheran offensive line propelled the Bulldog offense to six rushing touchdowns, 358 net rushing yards and to just over 40 minutes of time of possession in a 47-30 win vs. Louisiana College. The group included a new starter and two other starters at new positions. The Bulldogs tallied 538 yards of total offense and ran 94 plays in the 47-30 victory.

RB Christiaan Williams
So., Ohio Northern

Williams ran for 407 yards (not a typo) on 29 carries for Ohio Northern, plus added 5 receiving yards in a 51-21 win vs. Capital.

RB Tre Frederick
Sr., Randolph-Macon

Frederick ripped off an 82-yard touchdown run to set the tone early and didn't stop until he had 231 yards and four TD on 18 carries in a 52-24 win vs. Bridgewater.

WR Mike Panzarino
Jr., FDU-Florham

Panzarino set a conference record with 23 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown in the Devils' setback against Lycoming. His 8-yard score in the second quarter put the Devils on the board, making the score then 21-7.

WR Nick Barber
Fr., Hamline

Barber set school records for touchdown receptions and receiving yards in a game at St. Olaf. He had caught just 12 passes in Hamline's first four games before breaking out for 16 catches, 274 yards and four TDs.

TE Aaron Brown
Sr., Moravian

Brown caught a career-high six passes for a career-best 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Greyhounds' 28-21 loss to Susquehanna. He also had a 31-yard catch late in the fourth quarter where he was dragged down at the 1, setting up Moravian's final TD.

Defense

DE Xavier Harvey
Sr., Pacific

Harvey wreaked havoc to the Pacific Lutheran defense, recording three and a half sacks of Lutes' quarterback Cole Chandler in the Boxers' 24-20 win. He finished the day with six tackles, four solo.

DT Brazos Fuller
Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor

Brazos had a team-high 11 tackles and posted 3.5 tackles for loss. He recorded a strip sack and recovered a HSU fumble to stop the last Hardin-Simmons scoring threat. Brazos led a UMHB defense that recorded eight sacks and forced four turnovers. The Cowboys rushed for just 31 yards and totaled 191 yards of total offense.

DE Cal Durni
Jr., UW-Whitewater

Durni enjoyed a big day behind the line of scrimmage, collecting 2.5 sacks for a loss of 18 yards and four total tackles to help the Warhawks to a 14-0 win vs. UW-Stout. His first tackle came on the opening drive to force a punt. Durni turned in a half-sack later in the quarter to force another UW-Stout punt and set up UW-Whitewater in Blue Devils territory.

 

LB Jason Farlow
Sr., Linfield

Farlow led all Wildcat tacklers with 13 tackles while playing in just over two quarters in a 55-14 win at Willamette. His forced fumble and 35-yard interception return for a touchdown helped Linfield pick up the victory.

LB Charles Riga
Sr., George Fox

Riga helped the Bruins hold No. 22 Whitworth to its fewest passing yards on the season. Riga finished the game with 10 tackles, eight of them solo. He also broke up two passes.

LB Nick Wright
Sr., Delaware Valley

Wright scored a pair of touchdowns, one on a 5-yard return of a blocked punt, the other a 58-yard interception return for a score in DelVal's 41-6 win vs. undefeated Albright. He is the first recorded defensive player in program history to score two TDs of any kind in a game. He also had six tackles.

LB Louie Akuffo
Jr., Gallaudet

Akuffo led the team with nine tackles, made an interception, forced one fumble and had one pass breakup in a 73-23 win vs Anna Maria. Akuffo's interception took place at the start of the second half and set up GU's first touchdown in the third quarter. He was also part of a huge defensive stand for the Bison in the first half, keeping AMC out of the end zone after it had first-and-goal from the 1.

 

CB O'Shea Anderson
Sr., Washington & Jefferson

Anderson recorded seven tackles (four solo), three pass breakups and forced a fumble in W&J's 27-20 win at Carnegie Mellon. He also forced the pressure on CMU's quarterback that led to Nick Murgo's 51-yard pick six to help the Presidents to the win. His forced fumble marked the first time All-American running back Sam Benger for CMU lost a fumble in 809 career carries.

S Jaquan Harris
Sr., Framingham State

Harris recorded five interceptions to tie the Division III single-game record. He returned his first interception 19 yards, leading to the Rams' first score of the game in a 32-16 win vs. Fitchburg State. He also recorded two solo tackles.

S Cappadonna Miller
Jr., Wesley

Miller registered a team-high 12 tackles, including eight solo stops in Wesley's 27-24 overtime win at No. 11 Frostburg State. He also intercepted a pass in the first quarter.

CB Brian Mahan
Jr., WPI

In a week that saw fellow cornerback Lou Garcia pick up D3football.com Play of the Week honors, Mahan stole the show with a career-best three interceptions in WPI's 31-14 road win at Catholic. His first pick led to a WPI touchdown that tied the game at 7-7 and his final pick in the end zone sealed the victory in the waning moments. Mahan was also created with a pass breakup.

Special teams

K Cameron Cook, Sr.
Adrian

For the second time in three weeks, Cook set Adrian's record for points scored by a kicker. During a 47-40 loss at Lakeland, Cook was 4-for-4 on field goals, connecting from 39, 47, 26, 21 yards and also perfect on four extra-point attempts.

P Johnny Davidson, So.
Washington U.

Davidson, also the Bears' starting quarterback, had a 73-yard punt in the first quarter, and landed all three of his punts inside the 20 in the Bears' 28-21 loss at Washington & Lee. Davidson finished the day with a 52.7-yard average.

RET Jeffery Barnett, Jr.
Trine

Barnett had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Trine's 56-21 win against Albion to remain unbeaten on the season. Ended the game with 108 total return yards two kickoff returns.

ST Dan Appley, Jr.
Cortland

Appley picked up his third blocked kick of the season, blocking an extra-point attempt in 38-12 win at Buffalo State. He also made a tackle to stop a Buffalo State two-point conversion run attempt.
